Junior Council

Junior Council members support the mission of The Eye-Bank through fundraising and outreach efforts aimed at increasing awareness of the need for and benefits of eye donation. The ultimate goal of the Junior Council is to encourage New Yorkers to say 'Yes' to donation and sign up to become a donor in the Donate Life Donor Registry.

Membership is limited to 30 members; prior board experience is not required and training will be provided.

Help spread the word

You can help make a difference when you tell others about the need for eye donation and the good it can do. As part of our Speakers’ Bureau, donor family members and transplant recipients support The Eye-Bank’s community outreach. You can join this effort and share your story at health fairs, civic and community events and at high schools when you speak to health classes.

You can also tell your story on The Eye-Bank’s Facebook page. Become a fan of The Eye-Bank and join recipients and donor family members who have posted their stories with photos to help spread the word about donation.
