The holiday spirit was alive and thriving at the Leadership Council’s Holiday Happy Hour on Friday, November 15, at Electric Shuffle in Midtown Manhattan. From the moment guests arrived, the shuffleboard tables buzzed with friendly competition and community connection. Members of the Council and The Eye-Bank community came together to showcase their shuffleboard skills while participating in a spirited silent auction.

The auction featured a collection of phenomenal prizes, including beautiful jewelry sets from Leadership Council Member Ileana Quinones Ruiz’s Artisans of IQ, tickets to the Brooklyn Nets, a chef’s table dinner at the Upper East Side’s brand-new Café Commerce, an evening out at the legendary SMOKE Jazz Club and much more.
True to its name, the atmosphere at Electric Shuffle was “electric.” Guests mingled and sipped espresso martinis, indulged in small bites, and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. Leadership Council Chair Patrick Corbett and new member Andrew Nordquist highlighted the impact of The Eye-Bank’s mission and the community’s vital role as financial supporters.

The night concluded with Tomer Maimran taking home the “gold medal” with the highest score at shuffleboard. Congratulations to The Eye-Bank’s Leadership Council for hosting their most successful fundraising event to date. All proceeds provide valuable support for The Eye-Bank’s public and professional education programs.
It was a joyful and impactful way to kick off the holiday season, proving once again the importance of community and generosity. If you’re interested in joining The Eye-Bank’s Leadership Council or would like to learn more about it, please contact Rob Hankins at RHankins@ebsr.org.
